Marsha J. Conaway joined Time Warner Cable (TWC) in December, 2002 and currently holds the position of Vice President, Human Resources, Midwest Market* (Ohio, Kentucky/Indiana/Illinois/West VA, Wisconsin, Kansas City, MO/Kansas, Lincoln, NE) based in Columbus, Ohio. In this position, Conaway is responsible for managing the Human Resource function in the Market.  Through identifying and extending the best practices from each of the Market areas, leveraging TWC’s Centers of Excellence (CoEs)  championing the significant integration and growth activities associated with employees and assets, Conaway partners with the senior management team on the Enterprise wide "people" strategy.   Immediately prior to joining the Midwest Market team, Conaway was part of the TWC Corporate Human Resources group (Charlotte, NC) serving in the role of Vice President, Compensation & Benefits.   

Prior to joining Time Warner Cable (TWC), Conaway acquired experience associated with human resource leadership roles as a business partner across multiple functions (talent acquisition and development, business strategy, leadership development, compliance, compensation & benefits) and integrated operational teams with major companies represented in the electric utility, healthcare and auto insurance industries. 

Conaway’s key accomplishments have been aligned with her ability as a recognized leader, contribute to the organizations strategic vision as a business partner who recognizes the value of increasing shareholder value, organizational development, talent acquisition, total rewards recognition (compensation, benefits and related value add offerings) employee/labor relations and diversity, inclusion and development.

As a Senior Consultant within an Ohio based electric utility company, human resource responsibilities included the design, development and administration of executive/employee compensation and benefit programs (included employee health centers at multiple plant sites), employment and organizational development initiatives, retiree pension/benefit programs, labor relations with an emphasis on management representation on negotiating committees with bargaining units, human resource information system (HRIS) development and maintenance, staffing and budgets. 

As the General Manager of Compensation and Benefits for a large Ohio based hospital system, major responsibilities included overseeing the design, implementation, administration and communication of compensation and benefit programs (executive, non-executive and hourly); also responsible for HRIS and employee records.

Currently, serve as Chair of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce Health Care Committee; Women In Cable & Telecommunications (WICT), WICT HR Advisory Council, National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) member and Board member/Executive Officer for the period ending 2012 ; YWCA Columbus, Ohio – Committee Member; 2009, 2010, 2011 recognized in Who’s Who in Black in Columbus (OH); recognized in CableFax--the magazine’s 2009, 2010, 2011 Most Influential Minorities in Cable; completed Time Warner’s Breakthrough Leadership and Step Forward Programs for Executive Women; Betsey Magness Leadership Institute (BLMI) Alumni; past President, National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR) Cleveland, OH Chapter; Arthritis Foundation of Northeast Ohio – Board of Trustee member; Finance/Human Resources Committee 1999 to 2003;  United Way Services of Greater Cleveland - Board of Trustee member, Chair of the Human Resources/EEO Division, and a graduate of The Leadership Development Program.  Serves as a Mentor in TWC’s formal mentoring program, as well as the NAMIC organizations L.
