Nancy Turnbeaugh

Suddenlink Communications

With more than 35 years of industry experience, Nancy Turnbeaugh joined Suddenlink Communications in 2007 originally as a Consultant in the role of Executive Program Manager for Suddenlink's Business Class Phone deployment.  In May 2008 she was offered a full time opportunity as Commercial Operations and Advertising's first Director of Product Development. During her time with Suddenlink, she has spearheaded the deployment of Business Class Phone, PRI and Ethernet over DOCSIS products. As the mobile wireless carriers approached MSO's to build out fiber to their tower sites back to their MSC's, Nancy was asked by Suddenlink's Senior Leadership team to move into the carrier organization to manage all Fiber to the Tower deployments as well as other wholesale optical Ethernet revenue initiatives for the company.  She currently directs the company's carrier product development, presales support and RFP/pricing/quoting initiatives.  In addition, Nancy manages all service delivery execution for carrier sold contracts/business.  This role encompasses internal coordination to accomplish people/process/system improvements to accelerate carrier revenue growth as well as provide leadership to a high performance team.  Suddenlink's Carrier business unit is the fastest growing in the company.

Prior to Suddenlink, Nancy was the Senior Principal of her own consulting company.  She maintained clients in the telecommunications, manufacturing and insurance verticals.  Prior to her consulting engagements she held senior leadership positions with MCI, Bell Atlantic, e.spire Communications, El Paso Energy-Global Networks and others.  Nancy is a member of the Midwest chapter of WICT and a council member for the Gerson Lehrman Group.  She has been front and center in leading edge technology deployment.  This includes the original deployment of "the Internet" while working at MCI with the National Science Foundation and working with Motorola's Government Worldwide Intelligent Network business unit on the Iridium satellite network deployment.

Passionate about reading and education, Nancy has led the Midwest WICT chapter's book club for the past two (2) years.  She is helping to drive continued learning and emotional intelligence within the chapter.  Nancy has also been a guest speaker/panel member supporting the Greater Texas WICT chapter's Tech it Out event.  She received her Bachelor of Administration in Business Management from the University of Maryland.  She also maintains a Project Management Institute (PMI) Certificate from Boston University and ITIL Foundation Certification in IT Service Management.  Nancy currently resides in St. Louis with her husband Kevin.  Our six (6) children, five (5) grandchildren and other thirty two (32) extended family members are scattered around our wonderful country in Colorado, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri and Oklahoma.  Our three (3) cats, Kitty Boo, Charlotte and Sabrina, now keep us company at home.
