Sandy is Executive Vice President & Deputy General Counsel of Viacom Media Networks (VMN), a division of Viacom Inc., home of America's most-watched family of cable networks, reaching a cumulative 3.2 billion television subscribers worldwide. She leads a team of attorneys and staff who support Content Distribution, which manages the relationships between VMN and its distribution partners primarily in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. Under Sandy's direction, the Content Distribution legal team negotiates, drafts and administers complex multi-platform distribution deals, in addition to advising the Content Distribution Sales, Marketing, Strategy and Finance teams on a variety of legal issues relating to traditional and new media video distribution.
After a brief stint as an associate with Debevoise & Plimpton in New York City, where she worked on a variety of general corporate and bankruptcy matters, Sandy began her tenure in the cable industry as an attorney for a division of the Westinghouse Broadcasting Company that provided national ad sales, affiliate sales and marketing services to the Country Music Television and The Nashville Network programming services. Subsequently, after several years at Comedy Central where she served as the sole affiliate and marketing attorney, Sandy joined VMN as a vice president in the affiliate sales and marketing business affairs group.
Sandy graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, received a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law and is a member of the New York State Bar. She lives in NYC with her husband and teenage son.
