Patricia Betron serves as senior vice president, multimedia sales, ESPN Customer Marketing and Sales. In this role she oversees multimedia sales teams in New York, Chicago and Detroit, and leads ESPN CMS' Sales Communications team, providing strategic direction and liaisons with ESPN Research & Analytics, and developing external positioning to clients. Betron also leads sales efforts for espnW, and co-leads ESPN's priority team focused on Hispanic sports fans.
Previously Betron managed and developed new and incremental business, selling multi-media programs across all ESPN-branded entities, including sports content on ABC Inc. She first joined ESPN's Customer Marketing and Sales team as director in May of 1999. She was promoted to vice president in September of 2000 and senior vice president in February of 2005.
Prior to ESPN, Betron worked at ABC Inc. for 10 years starting as a senior marketing analyst/ presentation writer for National Television Sales (1989 – 1991); an account executive for WLS-TV, a Chicago-based ABC Owned & Operated station (1991-1995); director of new media sales, National Television Sales (1995-1999).
Betron received a dual bachelor of science degree in television, radio, film management & marketing management and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Syracuse University.
