Catherine Bohigian is the Executive Vice President, Government Affairs, for Charter Communications. In this role, she oversees Charter’s federal and state government affairs and is responsible for directing the company’s legislative and regulatory strategies.
Catherine joined Charter from Cablevision Systems Corporation, where she served as Senior Vice President, Federal Affairs. While at Cablevision, Catherine oversaw the company’s Washington, DC, public policy office and was responsible for Cablevision’s federal legislative and regulatory initiatives.
Prior to joining Cablevision, Catherine served in several senior capacities at the Federal Communications Commission, including Chief of the Office of Strategic Planning and Policy Analysis, and Senior Advisor to then-Chairman Kevin Martin. Her primary role was overseeing the implementation of the Chairman’s initiatives and the agency’s agenda, particularly with respect to media and enforcement issues, and managing an internal team of economists and lawyers.
Before joining the FCC, Catherine was an attorney at Wiley Rein, representing telecommunications clients before the FCC. She earned her B.A. in Public Policy Studies, summa cum laude, from Duke University and her law degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School.
Catherine and her husband David live in Washington with their three children.
