Sandy Howe is Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Consumer Products Group for ARRIS. In this capacity, she establishes and directs all elements of the Company's retail business, including P&L, new product introduction, and customer engagement and driving growth for all ARRIS products in global retail markets. Howe brings over 20 years of direct customer involvement, technical expertise and marketing know-how to support and enable the strategic initiatives of ARRIS and broadband consumers worldwide.
Howe previously was SVP of Global Marketing, responsible for the company's worldwide brand strategies, marketing, events and corporate communications, including B-to-B and consumer market presence. .Howe joined ARRIS in 2009 as SVP, Strategic Market Development, and worked with the product development and sales teams to help content and service providers grow their business through the launch of ARRIS technologies, platforms and products.
Prior to joining ARRIS, Howe served as Director of Business Development at Cisco (formerly Scientific Atlanta), supporting the company's largest customer, Time Warner Cable. In this role, she helped Time Warner Cable launch new technologies such as switched digital video, digital simulcast, and digital video recorders, to bring innovative services to the consumer home.
Howe began her career in technology as Regional Account Executive for Broadband Networks Inc. in State College, PA, where she supported numerous cable operators in deploying specialized voice, video and data networks.
Howe is a graduate of Penn State University. She currently serves on the National Board of Directors of Women in Cable Telecommunications and chairs its Development Committee. She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences worldwide and is the recipient of numerous awards, including Multichannel News' Wonder Woman, CableFAX' Top Women in Technology, WICT Carolinas Carol A. Hevey Leadership Award, and NAMIC Carolinas EPIC in Technology.
