Amalia O’Sullivan is the Vice President of Product Management for Optimum Online, Cablevision’s industry-leading high-speed Internet access service in the nation, serving over 2.5 million customers. In this role, Amalia is responsible for the full product lifecycle from strategy and product development through launch and management. She is also responsible for the customer portal, Optimum.net, serving the online needs of 3 million+ video, voice, and data customers per month. Optimum Online was ranked #1 Residential ISP (East Region) service in J.D. Power & Associates’ 2008 Customer Satisfaction Survey.
Most recently, Amalia led the launch of the fastest residential high-speed Internet service tier available in the country with the introduction of Optimum Online Ultra, with up to 101 Mbps downstream and up to 15 Mbps upstream. In addition, she was responsible for the development and launch of the mobile version of the Optimum.net site that has experienced average monthly growth rate of over 25% growth since its launch in January 2009.
Amalia joined Cablevision in 2001 as Director of Product Development and Operations for Optimum Online. Before joining Cablevision, she worked as a Senior Product Manager at Excite@Home responsible for the strategy, growth, and development of the voicemail, chat, and instant messaging applications. Amalia was also a Senior Associate at Pricewaterhouse Coopers’ Telecom & Media Consulting practice in the Bay Area in California. She started her career in investment banking and product management in the Philippines.
Ms. O’Sullivan earned a MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University (Philippines). She is a member of the National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC), Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM), and the Harvard Business School (HBS) Women’s Association of NY.
