Roberta Segers 

Cox Communications Inc.

Roberta Segers is Executive Director, Customer Ordering and Billing for Cox Communications Inc. In this position, she manages the main operational support system platform, along with release planning and quality assurance for Cox’s billing system platform.

Ms. Segers joined Cox in 1979 as Customer Care Representative for the company’s Pensacola, Fla., operation. While there, she was promoted to Call Center Supervisor and Customer Care Manager. In 1993, she left Pensacola to serve as a customer care manager for Cox’s U.K. division. She led the division in release planning and development of its ICOMS billing system, which was instrumental in establishing telephony in the United Kingdom. Ms. Segers returned to the United States in 1995 as Applications Development Manager, a position in which she continued to help with the deployment of telephony. Most recently, she served as Director, Customer Management and Operational Support Systems.

A cum laude graduate of Georgia State University, Roberta holds a B.A. in Managerial Science.  She is a past Board member for the Atlanta Chapter of Women in Cable & Telecommunications and is a graduate of Cox’s Executive Development Program. She received the 2004 WICT Catalyst Award for Women in Technology.  She currently serves on the Corporate Diversity Council and has served as a team member for Cox’s United Way campaign in Atlanta, as a loaned executive for the United Way campaign in Pensacola, and as President of the Pensacola Kiwanis Club.
