Jody Vaughn has been Vice President of Video Distribution for BET Networks since June, 2009. She is responsible for the exploitation of video content and content provisioning across all of BET’ Digital Platforms which includes BET.com, VOD, Syndication, DTO and Mobile. Prior to expanding her role as VP Video Distribution, Vaughn was VP, Content Provisioning VOD & DTO since 2007. In 2004, Vaughn was VP, Affiliate Distribution & Strategy whereby she was on the forefront of new technology and acted as a visionary in the distribution and usage of VOD by BET consumers.
Vaughn has been successful throughout her 15+ year career at BET in creating an efficient, innovative atmosphere that focuses on business needs.
Before joining BET, she worked as a media research analyst for Nielsen Media Research in New York City for three years. Prior to joining Nielsen, Vaughn spent three years at General Motors' Oldsmobile Division as a college district manager trainee.
Vaughn earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from The Pennsylvania State University. In addition, Vaughn has completed graduate course work in Organizational Learning at George Mason University.
