Alison Jean

Alison Jean is the Director of New Technology Planning & Implementation for Cablevision Systems Corporation. Over the course of her 16 year career with Cablevision, Alison has been promoted to various roles of increasing responsibility. Alison started her career with Cablevision as a Project Manager during the Y2K systems & services test certification efforts.  After the successful turn of the millennium, Alison’s role expanded into management of the Billing System & Application interfaces as part of the launch of Cablevision’s first digital settop box.  Alison continued to grow from there, managing the integration and expansion of new video platforms & services including Video OnDemand, Multi-Room DVR, Switched Video and all programming and product launch activities. 

 

In her current role, Alison is responsible for leading the technical implementation team and management of production deployment activity and schedules spanning Video, Email, Voice & Broadband platforms, services and devices.  Alison’s focus is the assurance of customer experience and quality service delivery and ensuring that Product, Engineering, and Operational initiatives are communicated, tracked, prioritized and completed on time and within budget.  This includes:  Technology Transfer and Release Planning, Production Defect Management, Central Deployment Planning and Scheduling, Change Control – Risk Analysis, Conflict Management and Prioritization, Resource Management, and Critical Path Activity Communication & Presentation to all business groups & stakeholders.

 

Early in her career, Alison studied Criminal Justice at St. John’s University while helping to manage and grow a family owned Bakery & Catering company.  Alison also ventured out and established her own consulting firm offering expertise and management services to the cable and technology industry. 

 

Alison is a member of WICT Northeast Chapter and attends the yearly WICT Leadership Conference in New York City. 

 

Alison grew up in Colorado and currently resides in West Islip, NY with her husband and four young boys. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering in the community, and participating in the town beautification society and youth sports leagues.
