Amanda Gifford

Amanda Gifford is a program director with the ESPN Radio Network. She oversees weekend talk programming, responsible for delivering timely and topical content to the millions of sports fans nationwide. Shows under her watch include "College GameDay," "GameNight," "The Erik Kuselias Show," "The John Kincade show" and the "V Show" with Bob Valvano. Prior to her relatively new role in management, Amanda was the producer of "The Herd" with Colin Cowherd, ESPN Radio’s nationally syndicated show heard on 350 affiliates nationwide from 10 AM to 1 PM ET. In addition to "The Herd," Amanda also produced "College GameDay" on ESPN Radio, a fast-moving 7-hour show bringing college football fans all the news, information and analysis they need.

In addition to her roles in the production capacity, Amanda is one of the three ESPN Radio employees who plan, organize and execute the annual "Don’t Ever Give Up V Foundation Auction." In its inaugural year, the auction raised over $200,000, growing to over $1.1 million just four years later. Amanda oversees a team charged with acquiring once-in-a-lifetime items and experiences from college and professional teams as well as departments at ESPN. She also helps with the fulfillment and execution of these experiences.

Amanda has been with ESPN Radio for 6 years. She started as an intern after graduating from Penn State University with two degrees: one in elementary education and one in broadcast journalism. She also received her Masters degree from Quinnipiac University in 2006. In addition to her professional roles, Amanda coaches basketball and softball at the high school level in Southington, CT. She is the head varsity coach for both sports and an assistant coach for the varsity squads. She and her husband, Mike, also a Penn State grad, recently built their dream house and reside in Southington, CT.
