Amanda Phillips

As Vice President of Consumer Marketing, Amanda Phillips is the strategic, brand-leader responsible for guiding and setting the CMT marketing strategy and growing the CMT brand among target consumers. She joined the network in 2004, and since then has innovatively conceptualized and executed all off-channel promotional, advertising and social media plans. Phillips is responsible for media placements across a variety of outlets, including television, social media, digital, radio, print, and experiential marketing.

Prior to joining CMT, Phillips led public relations initiatives at New York’s Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners for clients such as Revlon, Hennessy, Coca-Cola, Meow Mix, Olympus and Target. Her role at Dye Van Mol brought her to Nashville in 2003, where she oversaw the development of marketing plans, reports, case studies, and press materials for Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey.

Phillips is a University of Tennessee graduate, where she received a Bachelor of Science in News-Editorial Journalism in 1996. She is an active member of WICT, CMA, and AMA and serves as a volunteer professor and mentor at CMT’s Academy of Digital Design & Communication at McGavock High School. She has also been a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters since 2008.
