As a Director of Sales for Synchronoss Technologies, Amy Burford works with the cable companies on e-commerce, customer care, and cloud solutions.
Amy began her career in engineering product management with Lucent Technologies. Building on that experience, she started one of the first services sales team for Lucent in 2000 as they moved from including services for free to fee. During that 3 year tenure, Amy’s team tripled the services revenue for their account and partnered with the client on a major network upgrade. Amy has held various sales positions in the telecom industry focused on helping wireless companies serve their end users in a fast, easy and useful way. After 11 years in the telecommunications industry, Amy made the transition to cable working for Speechcycle and selling automated IVR agents in 2008. Due to the 15% year over year growth Amy helped drive while at Speechcycle, she was recruited to Synchronoss after they acquired Speechcycle in May 2012. At Synchronoss, Amy is focused on leveraging the multichannel support and tools that her key cable accounts can use to retain and attract end customers.
Amy Burford is a graduate of Bradley University (Peoria, IL) for her undergraduate marketing degree and received her MBA in E-business from DePaul University (Chicago, IL). Amy is a dedicated life long learner and has attended various speakers and seminars to continue to grow and expand her experience.
Amy lives in the Chicago suburbs with her husband, Chad and their children, Grant and Ava. When Amy isn’t on a plane to visit customers, she loves spending time with her family, reading and exercising.
