Andrea A. Agnew

Andrea Agnew has over 23 years of experience in human resources to include recruiting, talent management, workforce diversity and inclusion; and as an HR business partner.  In her current role within Spotlight, she is responsible for providing leadership to and oversight of the Detroit Management Group, which consist of four regions and 29 markets. Her experience spans several industries and includes tenure with Fortune 500 companies – to include Comcast, Booz Allen Hamilton, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Mid-Atlantic Region.

 

Since 2006, Andrea has worked at Comcast and prior to her role within Spotlight, she served as Executive Director of Workforce Diversity and Inclusion. In this role she was responsible for developing strategies and building programs to enhance, leverage, and celebrate the diversity of Comcast’s most valuable assets – its employees.  In this role, she launched the Comcast Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) piloting the first ever in the history of Comcast and manages the team responsible for the oversight.

 

Prior to joining Comcast, as the Corporate Diversity Recruiting Manager for Booz Allen Hamilton, she led the implementation of firm-wide inclusive recruiting standards as a component of the Firms’ Board Diversity Initiative (BDI).  She also served as a recruiting manager for two of the Big 4 accounting firms, leading recruiting initiatives with PricewaterhouseCoopers, National SAP and Financial Services Technology Practices, and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Mid-Atlantic Region for the Solutions Technology Practice.

 

Andrea’s executive leadership training includes Authentic Leadership Development, Harvard School of Business, the NAMIC Executive Leadership Development Program at UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management, and the Urban League’s Urban Leaders Forum. She and her husband Eric reside with her young adult daughter, Caitlin in West Bloomfield, MI and has an adult daughter, Alicia, a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University. Andrea and Eric are also supporters of Autism Awareness and Autism Speaks.
