Angela Onate is the Senior Manager of Capital Accounting for Cox Communications in Atlanta Georgia. She joined Cox in 2008 where she assisted in centralizing the accounting function in Atlanta. She then transitioned to the capital and fixed assets accounting team and was later promoted to the Manager of Fixed Assets. In that role she implemented and improved policies and processes to safeguard the company’s fixed assets. In 2016 Angela was promoted to Senior Manager of Capital Accounting where she is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial statements and providing accounting guidance and insights on capital spend. She currently manages a team of two managers supporting 7 capital portfolios, supply chain and business operations.
Prior to joining Cox, Angela worked for CNN as a staff accountant.
Angela graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Finance.
Outside of work, Angela enjoys spending time with her family. She lives north of Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, Jacob and two children, Alexander and Brianna.
