Ann O’Flannigan

Ann O’Flannigan started with ESPN in February of 2008 as a Supervisor for ESPN’s Production Operations Department where she helps to oversee 19 Bristol based networks (9 domestic and 10 international) and 114 staff members.  Ann works with all departments that produce and support the on-air product from Commercial Operations and Programming down to the Engineers and IT professionals responsible for maintaining the hardware and software her team uses 24/7, 365 days a year.  

Prior to joining ESPN Inc. Ann was a Network Control operator and graduated to management at Comcast’s west coast networks which include E! Entertainment, Style, and G4.  She honed her knowledge of automation and broadcast systems and worked closely with both the support Engineers and vendors to insure the quality of the on-air product.   

Ann’s first job in television she was part of the launch of USA Broadcasting’s multi-cast facility that had the potential to run 16 separate broadcast channels across the country.  She was fortunate to learn on the most current technology of its time and this carried her forward to a successful career in the industry including a stint as a freelance Network Control Operator for the Los Angeles affiliate of Univision.
