Becky Paris

Becky Paris is the Director of Technical Publications and Training for ARRIS Group, Inc., and has been working in the cable industry for the last 10 years. She currently manages all customer-facing product technical documentation and training through a geographically dispersed team in 6 North American locations and Tel Aviv through active cross-functional product team participation and company-wide collaboration efforts. Becky helps drive the company’s strategic objective of supporting customer learning and improving the customer experience. She has led the team to consolidate operationally and toward improving the ARRIS worldwide customer experience, implementing best practices, and knowledge sharing. Becky’s teams are currently migrating documentation and training materials from standard desktop publishing tools to a content management system, structured authoring, and single sourcing.

She has also assumed ownership and responsibility for the localization effort, from identifying localization needs, to working with translation vendors through translation and testing, to ensuring that the translated items were ready for external release.

Becky has been in the technical writing industry for more than 20 years and has management, operations, project management, communications, and mentoring/leadership experience. Becky holds a degree in Journalism from Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. Outside of work, Becky enjoys playing tennis, cooking, gardening, and other outdoor activities (including skydiving and a NASCAR test drive) with her husband Scott.
