As the Vice President for Affiliate Relations & Distribution, Betsy Brightman focuses on securing linear carriage with cable and satellite operators for the network in addition to being a member of RLTV’s Strategic Leadership Team. Prior to RLTV, Brightman was Senior Vice President of Sales Operations for Gemstar TV Guide International, where she oversaw all affiliate sales activities and operations with cable divisions, regions, systems and regional Multiple System Operators (MSOs) in the United States and also served as VP/GM of TV Guide Magazine’s custom publishing division.
Betsy is a 20+ year veteran of the industry, beginning her career in Boston at Crosby Vandenburgh Inc, publisher of customized print cable program guides. She is a member of CTAM and WICT, and was a founding board member of WICT’s Boston chapter in 1984 as well as a past President of the Philadelphia Chapter of WICT. She was recently named Affiliate Sales Executive of the Year, Emerging Networks, by CableFax.
Betsy is also an executive member of the Philadelphia Chapter of Autism Speaks and has acted as a resource and advocate for other parents of Autistic children. Team Emma, her family’s WalkNow fundraising team named for her youngest child who is autistic, has been the top fundraiser for the annual WalkNowforAutism for the past 4 years. Betsy resides in the Philadelphia Area with her husband Jay and and their three children.
She is a 1983 graduate of the College of he Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.
