Bharathi Kommireddy currently serves as Director, Quality Assurance at Comcast in Comcast Metadata Products and Search Services (COMPASS) in Technology & Product organization. She is responsible for delivering high quality content discovery experience to 28 million X1 customers and partners. She manages 9 plus teams responsible for QA deployment, functional, automation, performance, relevance and end-to-end testing of customer facing services supporting web, mobile, and set-top-box experiences. These services include content metadata management, customer entitlements, search, browse, recommendations and personalization. Many of these advanced capabilities are showcased in the Comcast/Xfinity X1 set-top box including the X1 voice remote that enables customers to control their X1 set-top box using voice commands. Bharathi ‘s prior projects at Comcast include managing the testing and delivery of voice recognition platform. Two of the applications she supported testing were awarded Technical Emmy.
- Technical Emmy in 2015 for advancing the state of the art in video personal recommendations on the X1 platform.
- Technical Emmy in 2017 for The Xfinity voice search.
Prior to joining Comcast, Bharathi worked at AOL, BPS (Business Platform Services) that was a key initiative across AOL Technologies organizations to envision, design and develop the technology infrastructure that enabled AOL to rapidly deliver products and services for its customers. She grew up in India and earned her Masters Degree from Sathyabhama University, Chennai.
Bharathi currently resides in Annandale, Virginia with her husband and two beautiful daughters. Outside of work, she loves watching TV, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
