Bridget is the Vice President of Security Systems Development and Engineering, at CCAD LLC, a joint-venture between Comcast and Motorola, focusing on conditional access development and security for the cable industry. Since its inception, she has lead a multifunctional engineering team, from product definition to transition to manufacturing for high volume MCARDs, and developed conditional access and security servers deployed in MSO headends across the country. Her team also developed the content protection system and associated licensing support program that enabled the deployment of millions of DTAs from multiple vendors as part of the Comcast Cavalry initiative.
She has twenty years of experience in the communications industry, working at various companies such as Motorola, Copper Mountain Networks, General Instrument, DirecTV, and Hughes Space and Communications. Directly prior to CCAD, Bridget was a Senior Manager in System Engineering at Motorola. In this position she was responsible for system engineering and architecture of a number of products deployed in cable and satellite environments, and was a key contributor in Cable Labs standards activities. Bridget currently holds five US patents.
Active in both her professional and local community, she is a member of WICT, IEEE, SCTE, Athena San Diego, and has been an adjunct faculty member in the San Diego Community College District. She has also given several technical presentations for industry professional groups and trade shows. In the local community, she has worked with local Society of Women Engineers university student chapters for mentoring, and is a co-leader for her daughter’s Girl Scout troop.
Bridget holds an MSEE from University of Southern California, and a BSEE, Summa Cum Laude, from California State Polytechnic University. She lives in San Diego, CA with her husband and two children.
