Brook McArthur

Brook McArthur is the Manager of Training for Suddenlink Communications.  In this role, she works closely with Care Centers and Retail stores to oversee new hire and on-going education opportunities.  Drawing on 15 years in education, Brook works to ensure that all Suddenlink employees have access to job-specific learning that promotes work efficiency and career development. She oversees a team of eight that focuses on curriculum development and instructor led trainings.

Brook holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Learning and Development from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s of Public Administration from The University of Texas at San Antonio.  She began her career in a middle school classroom, where her love for learning laid the foundation for a diverse career in education. After teaching 3 years, Brook had the rare opportunity to transition to politics, where she served President George W. Bush as a political appointee at the United States Department of Education.  Serving as a liaison to the Federal Delegation, Brook developed a keen understanding of education policy, communication and project management. After returning to Texas from DC, she used these skills in a variety of education leadership roles in San Antonio, helping grow opportunities for low income students and teachers in 15 local school districts. These experiences prompted Brook to take another career-shift when she left public education leadership to join the cable industry in 2014 at Suddenlink Communications.

Brook loves her work and is thankful her current position allowed her to return home to East Texas. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
