Cara Dorfman

​Cara Dorfman is the Manager of Strategic Insights & Research at Viacom Media Networks.  In her role, she is responsible for synthesizing network performance data and providing audience insights for MTV and MTV2.  She closely monitors the competitive landscape and gauges viewing behavior across different platforms and technologies (e.g., online, VOD, mobile).  Her research efforts help enhance and impact content strategy, scheduling decisions, budget forecasting and marketing plans.  Cara has been with Viacom since July of 2011.  Prior to joining Viacom, she worked at AMC Networks performing various research functions for WE tv.

Cara earned a BBA with a concentration in marketing and communications from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School in Atlanta, Georgia.  She graduated a Beta Gamma Sigma scholar and proudly is the third generation of her family to earn a degree from this school.  Outside of her passion for television, she loves spending time with family and close friends.  She also enjoys exercising, doing word jumbles, playing Scrabble and trying out as many restaurants as possible in NYC.
