Catherine Martin is a Manager in the Sarbanes-Oxley Project Management Organization within the CAAT department at Comcast’s corporate headquarters in Philadelphia. Catherine is responsible for establishing the methodology and budget for Sarbanes-Oxley testing utilized by Comcast and NBCUniversal. This includes managing the personnel responsible for performing Sarbanes-Oxley testing and ensuring that all testing is completed timely. Within the past year, Catherine has been instrumental in reducing Comcast NBCUniversal’s SOX costs by $2.9M. In addition, she reports status and results of the SOX testing for the Comcast/NBCUniversal entities to upper management.
Prior to this role, Catherine spent 5 years as an internal auditor with the CAAT department performing field audits of the Comcast Cable, Comcast Programming, and Comcast Spotlight entities. Catherine also worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers for 3.5 years as an internal auditor within the Assurance practice.
Catherine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA. She is currently pursuing her CIA and is a member of WICT and the Comcast Women’s Networking Group. Catherine is the leader of the CAAT Social Committee and participates in Comcast’s CORE and Financial Internship recruiting activities.
