Cathy Oh is an Account Executive for HGTV & DIY Networks based in Los Angeles, California. In this role, Cathy is responsible for helping clients achieve their marketing needs by developing marketing and media proposals. She works with Programming, Ad Sales Marketing, Branded Entertainment and other departments to help craft these proposals based on each client’s marketing goals. Cathy also works with her counterparts in digital advertising sales and print advertising sales to develop custom 360 integrations across all platforms so the client can reach the consumer on many different levels. Scripps Networks Interactive is the leader in lifestyle media and also owns Food Network, Cooking Channel, Travel Channel and Great American Country. Cathy works with her counterparts across these networks so each client can create partnerships across all the Scripps Networks properties. She has been with Scripps Networks Interactive for over 8 years and during this time has received several awards including – Most Driven, Best Integration, Partner of the Year and Sales Person of the Year. She works closely with clients over the years to develop true partnerships and has worked on such accounts as Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures and American Honda Motors.
Prior to working at Scripps Networks Interactive, Cathy worked for NBC Universal, Cablevision, Discovery Communications and CBS Television Network. She has been very fortunate to have many amazing mentors along her career path at these various networks. She enjoys volunteering for several organizations such as Make A Wish Foundation and The Nephcure Foundation. Her family has been raising awareness for The Nephcure Foundation for over 5 years and during this time have raised over $100,000 for the organization which is trying to find a cure for Nephrotic Syndrome, a kidney disease affecting many children and adults.
Cathy graduated from the Honor’s College at Arizona State University with her degree in Communications. She went on to get her Master’s Degree from The Annenberg School at the University of Southern California in Communication Management. Cathy currently lives in Manhattan Beach, California with her husband, James, and their two children, Rachel and Shawn. They enjoy their time visiting family in Chicago and Arizona, enjoying the great weather in Southern California and spending time with friends.
