Christina Blaisdell is a marketing manager for the CNN Digital Marketing Group. She is responsible for CNN.com brand, product and content marketing strategy. In this role, she oversees the team that manages the CNN Facebook fan page and collaborates on network-wide social media strategy that spans CNN’s multiple Facebook and Twitter accounts and check-in services.
Blaisdell was key and instrumental in the development and execution for the second-year in a row for the marketing and on the ground activations of the CNN Grills at South by Southwest in 2011 and 2012. Additionally, she led the marketing and creative strategy for the debut of the all-new CNN Video Experience showcasing live CNN & HLN TV and On-Demand Video. In addition to CNN’s TV Everywhere initiative, where the network was the first to Stream 24-Hour News Network Online and On Mobile.
Blaisdell began her career with Turner with the Turner Media Group, where she was responsible for planning and buying media placements promoting Turner Classic Movies and Turner Sports properties such as MLB, NBA, NASCAR and PGA, on TBS and TNT.
Blaisdell received bachelor’s degrees in political science and journalism, with a major in advertising, from the University of Georgia. She also holds a master’s of science in public policy, focusing on telecommunications and internet policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
