Dawne Mann serves as Senior Manager of Business and Legal Affairs at Comcast Spotlight, the advertising sales division of Comcast Cable. Her overall areas of responsibilities include reviewing linear and online advertising to ensure compliance with company and network affiliate advertising content guidelines, delivering legal presentations at marketing divisional meetings and similar venues, providing a clearing house of information between various departments and local markets, and creating templates, guidelines and other relevant tools to facilitate legal compliance with marketing promotions. Ms. Mann has worked at Comcast Spotlight since 2007, and has received two GEM (Going the Extra Mile) Awards; 2010 Comcast Spotlight GEM Operational Excellence Award and 2012 Comcast Spotlight GEM Corporate-HQ Bi-Annual Leadership Award.
Prior to joining Comcast Spotlight, Ms. Mann held positions as Director, Legal Affairs Administration at TriStar Pictures in New York City; Director, Legal and Business Affairs Administration at Hallmark Entertainment in New York City, and well as positions at Home Box Office, Inc., in Public Relations and a not-for-profit organization. This varied background has served her well to create a skill-balanced professional who is creative, knowledgeable and versatile.
In addition to her professional workload, Ms. Mann is an active community volunteer and is currently active in an organization that is focused on domestic violence against women. She has committed countless hours to work in a women’s shelter, providing holiday parties with gifts, art projects for children, and is in the process of coordinating with several corporations in the area to facilitate a renovation project for the shelter. Ms. Mann individually is a volunteer reader for the children’s ward at a major hospital near her home in New York City. She holds a B.A. from Spelman College and a M.A. from New York University.
