Deborah Lucas

Deb Lucas is Vice President of Comcast Enterprise Technology’s (CET) Solution Initiation and Management organization (SI&M). CET is comprised of Comcast’s Information Technology and Information Services groups and other key technology driven functions/teams deemed critical to the continued growth and success of the company. In her role, Deb is responsible for strategically managing CET projects and project communications to ensure that they meet the needs of the business in regards to functionality, timing, and business benefit. In less than 18 months, she has established and grown her team from a staff of 12 into the SI&M organization led by 7 Directors and a team of more than 50 resources. Under her leadership, this team is responsible for the strategic direction, design, and support of enterprise-wide project initiation, requirements and analysis design, delivery and release management, customer account management, and field collaboration and communications. Deb has more than 10 years telecommunications and Information Technology experience. Prior to Comcast, she held progressive leadership positions at TEOCO Corporation Communications and Entertainment Solutions, a software development company. There she was responsible for overseeing multiple service areas, including data center operations, data management, the product delivery process, and tier one client implementations. Deb started her career at Verizon where she came to be responsible for the requirements, architecture, and design of the customer care systems. Deb received her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Economics from Virginia Tech and an MBA in Information Systems from the University of Maryland.
