Denise Conroy-Galley

A seasoned marketing executive with over 15 years of experience, Denise Conroy-Galley is the Senior Vice President of Marketing & Research for Outdoor Channel.  In this role, Conroy-Galley leads all marketing and research activities for the network. Her current responsibilities include branding, consumer marketing, affiliate marketing, ad sales marketing, on-air promotions, public relations and research. 

During her tenure, Outdoor Channel has achieved unprecedented acclaim for its marketing and promotions, including several CTAM Mark, MarCom, PRISM and Telly Awards.  In 2007, Conroy-Galley spearheaded an aggressive rebranding of the network, successfully repositioning Outdoor Channel as the leader in the outdoor genre.

A strong believer in the ability of marketing to make a difference, she has been the architect of several pro-social marketing promotions that raised money for worthy causes like Animal Rescue of New Orleans, the Paralyzed Veterans of America and the Animal Cancer Foundation.  Likewise, Conroy-Galley has created strategic partnerships with over 20 conservation and membership organizations. 

Conroy-Galley joined Outdoor Channel in 2004 as the network’s first Director of Research.  In that role, she built a media research department from the ground up.  She was promoted to Vice President of Marketing & Research in 2006.   

Prior to joining Outdoor Channel, Conroy-Galley ran her own boutique sports marketing agency and worked in marketing for Straightline, the start-up Internet division of US Steel.   Before that, she was a senior consultant for Hatch Beddows, a Pittsburgh-based international management consulting firm.  In this role, she consulted to executives and major investment banks on marketing and market strategy

In 1993, Conroy-Galley earned a B.A. in Political Science from West Virginia University.  Later that year, she was awarded a full academic scholarship to pursue her graduate work at Duquesne University.  She received an M.A. in Social & Public Policy in 1995. 

Conroy-Galley is involved in numerous organizations in the cable industry including Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM).  She is a CTAM Mark Awards Judge and a WICT Mentor.  In 2008, she was named one of the cable industry’s “40 Under 40” by Multichannel News. The same year, she was named to the “CableFAX 100.”  In 2009, Conroy-Galley was named to Class XX of WICT’s Betsy Magness Leadership Institute (BMLI), the flagship leadership development program for the cable and telecommunications industry.
