Dwana is a Business Analytics Manager for the Business Intelligence Department at Comcast NBC Universal. In her current role, she manages a team of data analysts that use business data and statistical methods to provide insight into business performance and suggest areas and methods of improving marketing operations. Additionally, she provides insights and recommendations to the senior leadership team for data driven decision making and strategic planning. Most notably, she has been able to help streamline a multi-million-dollar direct marketing campaign budget through the development of a continuous improvement-based targeting and segmentation plan.
Dwana is from Montgomery, AL. She attended the University of Alabama-Birmingham, where she obtained her B.S. in marketing, with a minor in management. She also went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from UAB. During the MBA program, she had the opportunity to study international business abroad in Anshan and Beijing China. Immediately following undergrad, she worked in the custom publishing department for Southern Progress (Time Warner Inc.), which allowed her to express her more creative passions before turning her sights to a more analytically focused career path. While completing her master’s degree, she moonlighted as a Marketing Research Analyst for BF Goodman, by helping small business owners to gather and gain actionable data insights to allow them to compete more effectively in the communities that they served. A short time after completing the MBA program, she set her sights on relocating to Atlanta, GA, where she would start her first position with Comcast NBC as a Marketing Research Analyst. During her nine-year stead with Comcast, she has served in several positions, before landing in her current role.
Currently, Dwana resides in Atlanta, GA. She enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, listening to good music, and cheering on her favorite college football team – the Alabama Crimson Tide. Roll Tide!
