Elizabeth Asencio is Senior Vice President, Head of Distribution Marketing at Univision, the leading Hispanic media company in the United States. In this role, Asencio leads the strategy and implementation of multi-platform marketing strategies for product launches on video-on-demand and high-definition video on both the local and national scale.
Asencio has more than twenty years of experience in leading high performing sales and operations teams while securing multi-billion-dollar content distribution agreements.
Prior to joining Univision, Asencio served as Head of Content Acquisition for Atlantic Broadband, where she led the programming and video operations team. In this role, she negotiated multiplatform distribution deals. She also served as a New Business Development Consultant for lotus823, an integrated marketing and communications agency. Asencio also spent 18 years at NBCUniversal, where she last served as Senior Vice President, Client Relations & Marketing Operations.
Throughout her career, Asencio has been named to Cablefax’s “Most Powerful Women in Cable” and “Most Influential Minorities in Cable” lists on multiple occasions. Cablefax also honored her as the industry’s Sales Executive of the Year in 2010.
Asencio received a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Rutgers University in New Jersey.
