Emily Bland

Emily T. Bland serves as Vice President of Human Resources for  National Engineering and Technical Operations (NE&TO) for Comcast.  In this position, Emily is responsible for creating and implementing strategies to enhance the overall value created by the human resources of the organization.

Before joining Comcast, Emily provided strategic Human Resources leadership and management to businesses operating in the United States, Canada and Europe for Defense Support Services (a Lockheed Martin/Day & Zimmermann company) and American Water Enterprises, Inc.  She has previously managed Human Resources, EEOC and Affirmative Action processes and programs for companies up to 22,000 employees. 

Emily earned a Masters Degree in Human Resources from Clemson University and a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Ball State University.  She is a member of Philadelphia Human Resources Executive Alliance, Women in Cable and Telecommunications, Philadelphia Human Resource Planning Society, Tri-State Human Resource Management Association and Society for Human Resource Management.  She is certified as a diversity trainer by the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity and has presented at American Association of Affirmative Action national conferences.  Emily was a 2007 nominee for the “Delaware Valley HR Person of the Year” award and leads the NE&TO HR team that was nominated for the 2009 “HR Department of the Year” award.  She also serves as a 4-H Leader for Rutgers Cooperative Extension Program.
