Emily Houghton is the Manager of Distribution Strategy at Viacom Media Networks. In her role, Emily collaborates with Distribution Sales, Legal and Finance teams to structure, negotiate, and execute multi-year MVPD, vMVPD, and SVOD agreements. She also assists her team in tracking industry trends, ensuring Viacom is at the forefront of innovation through cultivating the company’s business strategy.
Prior to her current role, Emily was a participant in Viacom’s unique RISE Rotational Program. Through the rotational program, she had the opportunity to work on the Business Development and Distribution Strategy teams, diversifying her knowledge and skill set. Emily graduated from Miami University in Ohio with a B.S. in Marketing, and a minor in Film Studies.
Emily is passionate about charity, and maintains a position on the Young Leadership Council of the Manhattan Childrens Center, New York City’s leading institute for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. She also enjoys attending events to support Cardinal McCloskey Community Services, a not-for-profit social service agency that is dear to her family. Emily loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and keeping up with all the literature on Reese Witherspoon’s book list.
