Erin Wilken is the Director of Digital Ad Sales for the Central Region at Scripps Networks Interactive – Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, DIY Network, Cooking Channel, Great American Country and Food.com. Wilken is responsible for generating digital ad revenue across all non-linear platforms including display, mobile, native, social, OLV, VOD, TV Everywhere and connected devices, as well as collaborating on convergent extensions with TV and print. She has been with the company since 2005 and previously held the positions of Digital Account Executive and Digital Ad Sales Manager. Wilken possesses a deep understanding of digital media and cross-platform selling; having extensive success developing comprehensive marketing programs and unique brand experiences for her clients.
Wilken began her career at Starcom Worldwide, primarily working in the print investment group. From there, she shifted to the publisher-side, joining A&E Television Networks as an account executive on Biography magazine. She went on to work at Time Inc.’s This Old House brand, where she learned the power of selling a multi-platform brand. She was able to bring 360-degree marketing solutions to clients that ranged from underwriting the PBS programming to creating print, digital and experiential campaign extensions.
Wilken holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University where she majored in communications with a specialization in broadcast journalism and minored in public communications and human relations. She currently lives in a suburb outside of Chicago with her husband and their three sons.
