Heather Hipke

Heather Hipke is the Director of Finance for Time Warner Cable’s Wisconsin Division.  In this position she is responsible for overall financial management and leads teams responsible for financial planning and analysis of Residential Operations, including the monthly forecasting and annual budget.  In addition, Heather is also responsible for general accounting support, credit and collections.  Since joining the company, Heather has developed the finance team as internal consultants for the business.  She has also implemented key process enhancements that have improved financial modeling and analysis for the Wisconsin Division.  In 2009, she re-engineered the Wisconsin Division’s collections practices, resulting in significant improvements in collection activity and bad debt.  Heather is a dedicated leader, committed to helping those around her achieve their highest potential.  She has a direct leadership style and constantly challenges herself and her team to exceed expectations.  Heather is focused on engaging and developing her teams to become effective leaders, in order to produce positive results for the company.

Heather joined Time Warner Cable in 2006 as the Controller and quickly assumed additional responsibilities.  She took on the role of Director of Finance in March 2008.  Previously, Heather was Assistant Controller for Briggs & Stratton Corporation, responsible for the General Ledger and reporting consolidated financial results of domestic and international operations. She was also Assistant Controller for Sta-Rite Industries, managing the general accounting and finance activities.  Heather began her career in public accounting as an Auditor with Arthur Anderson.

Heather has been an active member of Women in Cable Television (WICT), a WICT Rising Star Mentor, and she’s on the WICT – Greater Chicago Chapter Board.  In 2010, Heather was awarded the Emerging Leader Award through the WICT – Greater Chicago Chapter’s annual Breaking the Mold Awards. 

Heather graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting.  She was a member of Beta Alpha Psi Accounting fraternity and held offices of secretary and membership.  In addition to her academic studies, Heather is also an accomplished Curler.  She was a Junior National Curling Champion and competed in the Junior World Curling Championships.  Most recently, she won the Wisconsin State Mixed Curling title and competed in the National Mixed Curling Championships in March 2011. 

During her career, Heather has participated in both formal and informal mentoring programs.  She has a strong interest in helping both professionals and young adults achieve their personal goals.   Heather serves as a Board Member for Discovery World, where the focus is on educating and motivating young innovators.  She is also actively involved in the Cub Scouts and serves as Board Chair of the Elm Grove Lutheran Youth Group.   

Heather lives in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin with her husband Rob and their four boys ages 5 to 11.  She enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering at church, school, and within her community.
