Helen Wilson

Helen Wilson is the Director of Marketing Operations for the Comcast Houston Region.  In this role Helen is responsible for developing marketing strategies and marketing communication plans to achieve subscriber acquisition and retention goals for the Houston Region’s video, high-speed data, phone, and home security lines of business.

Helen has over 20 years of advertising and marketing experience across a number of industries including technology, Internet subscription services, energy, financial services, and consumer package goods.  Prior to joining Comcast in 2006, Helen was the Vice President of Marketing for Questia, a revolutionary subscription based online library for students and educators.  Previous to Questia, Helen managed Compaq Computer Corporation’s advertising for commercial products in North America.  Before joining Compaq, Helen led the media department of the Houston office of Ogilvy & Mather, directing the development and execution of national and local broadcast, print, and outdoor media plans for Shell Oil Company, Compaq Computer Corporation, and EDS.  Previous to her relocation to Houston, Helen was in media planning at McCann-Erickson New York.

Helen currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Children’s Museum of Houston and has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Texas Chapter of Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM).

A recipient of New York University’s Arts and Science scholarship, Helen graduated from NYU with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
