Holly Burgess is Senior Manager, Traffic for New England Sports Networks (NESN). Since 2006, Holly has been integral in helping NESN grow to the 8th most Valuable Sports Brand. With close to 20 years of Sales and Traffic experience, Holly specializes in maximizing revenue and inventory as well as collaborating with Sales, Finance, Operations, Programming and Production to create formats and ensure executions for all in-house productions specializing in live sports programming.
Holly currently serves as President of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) New England. She is responsible for managing the Board of Directors, Strategic Planning, Budget Management and Event Planning. An active member of WICT since 2007, Holly joined the board in 2009 and has held a variety of roles including Vice President (2012-2013) and Sponsorship Chair (2009–2012). She has also participated as both a mentor and mentee in the WICT mentoring program.
Holly is also Vice President and co-founding member of NKH Crusaders. Non-Ketotic Hyperglycinemia (NKH).NKH, or glycine encephalopathy (GCE as it is sometimes called) is a rare devastating and incurable disease that affects children. Over the past five years the NKH Crusaders have raised over $150,000 for research of this disease. Holly is also on the Board of Directors for Worthwhile Life, Inc; an organization passionate about helping those who fall upon difficult times due to illness or other unfortunate events. WLF provides a structure and vehicle to harness and deliver a wide variety of support and assistance to those in need. In addition Holly is actively involved in NESN’s charity efforts.
In 2013 Holly was named WICT National Chapter Leader of the Year. Other accolades include 2013 WICT New England President’s Award and the 2011 WICT New England Board Contribution award. Holly is also is a graduate of the 2009 WICT Executive Development Program.
Holly started her career at Tribune Broadcasting where she held various roles in Sales, Traffic and Accounting at WLVI-TV Boston, WEWB-TV Albany NY, WTIC-TV/WTXX-TV Hartford, CT.
Holly resides in Weymouth, MA with her husband Robert. Holly enjoys the beach, cooking, golf, and is an avid hockey fan.
