Holly Reid

Holly Reid serves as Senior Manager of Financial Analysis for CNN’s digital portfolio, which includes CNN.com, CNNMoney.com, CNNInternational.com, Great Big Story and emerging businesses.  In this capacity, she oversees budgeting/long range planning, forecasting, and financial reporting for each property.  She also provides strategic support and value added analysis to achieve desired business goals. 

 

Prior to joining News Finance, Holly worked within Time Warner’s Internal Audit department where she led financial and operational audits for Turner.  Her business expertise and knack for connecting with people afforded her the opportunity to work across the organization both domestically and internationally within Asia, Europe and South America.  She held positions with increasing responsibility with Turner Entertainment Networks and Turner Corporate Finance, gaining experience in new business ventures, acquisitions and divestitures.

 

In addition to her finance role for CNN, Holly is very active in her community.  She currently serves on the board for The Kindezi Schools, an Atlanta public charter school.  She is active with the National Association of Black Accountants and the Atlanta Suburban Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. as co-chair of the Internal Audit Committee. She is a native of Atlanta and recently published her first book titled, Teach Your Child to Fish: Five Money Habits Every Child Should Master, to promote financial literacy to the next generation. 

 

Holly earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with honors, from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University in Greensboro, NC and is a Certified Public Accountant.
