Iris Jun is Counsel, Legal & Business Affairs at A+E Networks. She drafts and negotiates production agreements/amendments for both commissioned and licensed programs relating to real-life/verite/unscripted pilots/series, nonfiction programs, documentary specials, and indie films. She collaborates with internal programming executives to effectively negotiate the structure and deal terms of each programming project to meet both their goals and the company policies, as well as industry standards. Iris joined A+E Networks in 2013 as a member of the Rights Management team, where she analyzed agreements to determine the rights and restrictions to A+E’s programs and managed those rights to advise various internal business groups. Iris also serves as a member of A+E Networks’ Multicultural Insights Team.
Prior to joining A+E Networks, Iris was a law clerk at IpHorgan Ltd., where she researched and analyzed both domestic and international trademark infringement matters. Iris received her B.S. in Advertising with a minor in Spanish from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She received her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.
Outside of work, Iris has been a volunteer wish granter with the Make-A-Wish Foundation since 2008. She is the Treasurer of the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York, and is currently the Senior Gala Chair for KALAGNY’s 32nd Anniversary Gala this year.
