Jamie Miller serves as director of program planning for HGTV where she leads a team who manages an inventory of nearly 40,000 hours of linear assets. After more than 20 years, she still thoroughly enjoys the “diabolical Sudoku” that is program scheduling: making maximum use of inventory by juggling the needs of Ad Sales, Program Integration, Marketing, Digital, and Scripps’ other lifestyle media brands – DIY Network, Food Network, Cooking Channel, Travel Channel and Great American Country – with the careful placement of themes, stunts and sponsorships to ensure delivery of the highest-quality audience. Part of the original pre-launch team at HGTV, Jamie is a recipient of the E.W. Scripps President’s Club Award, has served as a mentor in Scripps’ Mentoring Experience program and completed the Leading @ SNI program.
An active member of WICT Southeast since 2007, Jamie currently serves on the Southeast Board of Directors as President. She was first elected to the board in 2013 and has previously served as Vice President and in programming and membership roles. Jamie has served as a mentor with the WICT Southeast student mentoring program, and more recently in the chapter’s Mentoring Circles program.
