Janene Molfetta is Director of Application Development for Cablevision’s Consumer Devices, Applications and Systems group. Her responsiblities include the technical development of consumer facing websites, as well as, Retail and Set Top Box development. Janene ensures a stable and responsive environment delivering an exceptional user experience on Cablevision’s websites and other interactive sales channels. She oversees ongoing efforts to enhance existing personalization, transaction processing and fulfillment engines, catalog management and reporting systems necessary to support and monitor customer interactions via these channels. Janene directs operations and maintenance activities ensuring long-term stability of interactive applications including: interactive sales and leads processing, customer self-care applications, account management tools and internal sales & reporting platforms.
Janene has been in the technical industry for 27 years, specifically with Cablevision for 14 years. She began her career as a summer intern in Grumman Data Systems, and upon college graduation, was hired as a Java programmer. Back in the 1990’s, during the Internet boom, Janene had the opportunity to develop website backend applications for Long Island Savings Bank. Since then, she’s been in the online market at various companies.
Janene earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Computing from Hofstra University in New York.
She has 2 children and just celebrated her 25th wedding anniversary with her husband.
A devoted downhill skier, gardener, jogger, and semi-fluent in Czech language, Janene’s favorite saying is “If you have tried to do something and failed, you are vastly better off than if you had tried to do nothing and succeeded.”
