Janet Dianda

Janet Dianda is the Engineering Manager of Video on Demand Back Office Services for National Engineering & Technical Operations.  She leads a team of engineers to develop monitoring and management capabilities, to improve services quality, security, and operational efficiencies. 

Janet began her career at AT&T/Lucent Bell Labs. As a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff, she led a cross-organizational team to develop new Voice over IP and multimedia enabled services on an innovative programmable service creation and mediation platform.  At Sprint Nextel, she led the architecture of business services for cable partners, including Voice over IP, cellular backhaul, and T1 service emulation; she also architected products to improve 3G mobile indoor wireless service coverage.

At Samsung, she managed an international team to implement WiMAX broadband wireless service.  She then joined XO Communications, where she managed development of Enterprise Voice over IP and Fixed Mobile Convergence products.  Before joining Comcast, she managed technical solutions at Verizon Business for next generation Enterprise Services for the U.S. Senate. 

In 2009, Janet received an M.B.A with High Honors in from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.  She also has a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Janet holds 2 U.S. Patents, and has 8 additional U.S. patents pending. 

Janet is a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications, Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers, Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honors Society, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and IEEE Women in Engineering.  Janet lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and two sons.  She loves music and dance, and is an active member of her church.
