With the decision to establish a regional operating structure Time Warner Cable created the role of Director of Billing for the Carolina Region. Janet was promoted to this position in 2010. As the Regional Director of billing she has the responsibility for the Carolina Region Billing Operations team. She and her team function as business partners to the Carolina Business Operations teams which supports 2 million plus customers. Janet formed and consolidated a regional billing operations structure from five distinct business operations units to one support team. She developed cross training across sites to gain efficiencies with the new organizational structure.
Prior to the reorganization initiative in June 2010, Janet held the position of Senior Manager of Billing for the South Carolina Division. Within this role she led and completed major billing system conversions to consolidate and standardize to one common billing platform, forming consistency of business operations practices throughout the organization. This major billing system conversion from CSG to ICOMS platform included and impacted all functional areas of the business.
Janet has twenty-five years of experience in the telecommunications/cable industry. Seventeen of those years have been in a management position. She attended Ohio University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications. She has completed Essentials of Leadership program with Time Warner Cable and Leadership through People Skills from the Moore School of Business. She has managed all aspects of the billing system and related operational teams, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and aspects of the operational budgets. Her career has expanded and grown with the industry and she has been involved and successfully led many product launches throughout the years.
Janet is a member and held the Co-Chair seat for the Women In Technology Affinity Group for the South Carolina Division during 2008-2009. During this time she provided leadership to the group assisting in fund raising and personal growth development initiatives for the members. Janet has also played an active role in the planning of WICT conferences and in the WICT Tech IT out initiative which assists students in forming creative business solutions through technology. She was the recipient of the WICT 2010 Group Impact Award for her focus and involvement on the development of the WIT Affinity Group.
