Janice Mobilia is the Vice President of Finance and Business Operations for the South Florida Region of Comcast Cable. In this position, she is responsible for overseeing the region’s financial planning, accounting, information technology, security, warehousing and audit functions; as well as the Commercial Development strategy. She works closely with all departments to identify more efficient processes that will save the company money while also improving the customer experience.
Janice joined Comcast in 1996 as a senior staff accountant in the Southeast Region. As a result of her strong leadership skills, focus on policy, process and financial strategy, she quickly moved through several system, region and division roles and was promoted to Vice President in 2003.
Janice’s experiences with Comcast, outside the normal financial responsibilities, have been vast and varied. Some include negotiating acquisitions, supporting the launch of new products, documenting best practices for business operations for the Division and integrating new systems after acquisition.
Prior to joining Comcast, Janice worked in public accounting. She spent most of her time in tax roles, identifying tax savings opportunities for clients. She managed personal and real property tax audits as well as sales tax audits. Janice researched and recommended opportunities to businesses to reduce their tax liability as well as processes to better document their taxable transactions to reduce liabilities during audits.
Janice holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from the State University of New York and is a Certified Public Accountant. She serves on the Board of Directors for the South Florida Chapter of Women in Cable Telecommunications and is the co-founder of their mentoring program. Janice resides in Wellington, Florida with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys traveling, exercising and scrapbooking in her spare time.
