Jennifer Dangar is Senior Vice President, Domestic Distribution for Discovery Networks US, where she and her team oversee all aspects of account management for the top eight distributors. Dangar also oversees the national sales team which is responsible for distribution of all new networks within the Discovery portfolio. For two and a half years prior, she oversaw new media distribution and was charged with negotiating agreements with affiliates and new entrants to gain widespread distribution for Discovery’s non-linear video products. Dangar returned to Discovery in 2004 after five years with Turner Broadcasting, where she served as vice president of national accounts and strategic marketing.
In her role at Turner Broadcasting, Dangar managed the Comcast account, as well as the affiliate marketing group. During her previous tenure at Discovery, she was responsible for developing and managing national accounts marketing and public affairs outreach, as well as directing Discovery’s local ad sales division.
Early in her career she held positions at C-SPAN and Viewer’s Choice (now In Demand). Dangar is Vice Chair of the National Board of Directors for WICT and is active in CTAM. She has been recognized for her contributions to the industry, winning numerous CTAM Mark and CTPAA Beacon Awards. She has also garnered several industry accolades appearing in Cable World’s “50 People Reshaping the Industry” and “Most Powerful Women” issues, and has appeared on Cable Fax’s list of “Top Hundred Heavy Hitters” multiple times.
Dangar is a graduate of Tulane University, where she earned her BA in Ancient History.
