Jennifer Monson has worked at Scripps Networks Interactive (which was recently acquired by Discovery Inc.) as an Advertising Sales Account Executive since 2005, representing the HGTV & DIY brands. In her role, she has partnered with major advertising agencies and clients to create fully convergent advertising campaigns that drive revenue – both for Scripps and in turn, for her clients. It has been her focus on strong customer service, dedication to the job, excellent work ethic, energy, focus and pushing the boundaries on creative marketing ideas that has led to her success over the years at the networks. She has been a leader among her peers and has been recognized as such at Scripps. She is the only three-time recipient of the coveted Salesperson of the Year award – she took home the top honor in 2006, 2012 and 2013. Some of the other awards that she has received are Best Cross-Platform Deal, Split Partner of the Year, Best Convergent Partner and Most Creative Use of Sales Assets.
She started her career at The Weather Channel in 1999 as an Advertising Sales Assistant and quickly made her way up the ranks, getting promoted to Sales Planner, SSE and then to an Account Executive in 2003.
A native New Yorker, Jennifer attended the State University College at Fredonia and currently resides on Long Island. She enjoys spending time with her husband, 3-year-old son and 4-month-old daughter.
