Jennifer Pirot, Vice President of Business Development and Sales, is responsible for working with the TV Networks Distribution team to negotiate content license agreements for digital platforms with cable, satellite, Telco distributors and hotels in the United States and Canada. She is also key player in the development of the company’s overall film and television content distribution strategy. Additionally, Pirot also oversees wireless and online deals, including video and app distribution on mobile devices and tablets. She reports to Ron Lamprecht, EVP, Business Development and Sales, NBCUniversal Digital Distribution.
A member of CableFAX Magazine’s 2011 “Digital Hot List” and Multichannel News’ “40 Under 40,” Pirot has shown recent success in supporting the TVND team to close deals with several major multichannel, hotel and wireless distributors. Additionally, she was active in providing strategic guidance for several key initiatives for the group, including advanced advertising platforms, interactive television, and multi-platform Olympics offerings for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics and 2012 London Games. Pirot launched NBCUniversal’s first on demand TV offerings as well as its first mobile offerings in Canada and was instrumental in laying the groundwork for NBCU’s TV Everywhere strategy.
Prior to joining NBCUniversal in 2005, Pirot was appointed as vice president for iN Demand Networks, where she was responsible for all strategic planning and financial analysis for the company.
Pirot received her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania. She is currently a mentor for the T. Howard foundation and previously served as a mentor for NAMIC’s L. Patrick Mellon Mentorship program. An active member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), she has participated in WICT New York’s Prime Access Executive Mentoring Program and was selected for WICT’s Rising Leaders Program in 2008. She resides in Bloomingdale, NJ with her husband and son.
