Jennifer Smardo serves as Senior Director of Engineering and Business Operations for the West Division HQ of Comcast Corporation. In this role, Ms. Smardo is responsible for leadership of the Division Program Management department, which oversees all project development and deployment for Comcast’s cable operations. In addition, she oversees capital management and various other business operations initiatives for the West Division, which serves more than six million customers in Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas, Minnesota, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Washington, Utah and Wisconsin.
An 18-year veteran of the communications industry, Ms. Smardo began her career as a receptionist in the Central Division office of TCI Central Division Office and from 1993 to 2011 has held progressive positions with responsibilities that encompassed Engineering, Tech Ops, Financial and Project Management disciplines which have lead to advancement into her current role.
Ms. Smardo earned a BA in Psychology, a BS in Communications and a MS in Organizational Leadership from Regis University.
Ms. Smardo is a member of Women in Cable and the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers, and is a graduate of the WICT Rocky Mountain Leadership Institute Program. Ms. Smardo was chosen to attend the WICT Rising Leaders Program. Passionate about animal welfare, she serves on the volunteer fundraising committee for Freedom Service Dogs, an animal rescue organization dedicated rescuing dogs from shelters and training them to assist people with physical disabilities, and is involved in many animal related charities throughout the Denver Metro area.
Ms. Smardo and her husband Greg live in the Denver Metro area and enjoy an active lifestyle in Colorado with their two dogs.
