Jess joined Discovery in September of 2008 and got her start as an unpaid intern working with the Animal Planet Communications team.
After five internships with various different network and corporate groups, Jess launched her full-time career post-college as the Campus Relations Recruiter, managing Discovery’s internship program. In 2011, Jess transitioned from one Human Resources department to another, and currently serves as Manager for the Global LifeWorks & Inclusion team.
Jess oversees all U.S. and Latin America work-life, flexibility and diversity and inclusion programs that support Discovery’s commitment to be a great and inclusive place to work – including the company’s four onsite wellness centers in Maryland, New York, Miami and Virginia, its onsite daycare – Discovery Kids Place and 14 Employee Resource Groups.
In all new initiatives, she strives to align with Discovery talent and programming, most recently launching two new company initiatives including Say Yes to the Prom — an ongoing partnership that provides at risk girls with the wardrobe and confidence to have the prom of their dreams — and Say Yes to the Cure — a global wellness movement to fight for a world without breast cancer.
Jess is a loyal Washington Wizards fan and holds a BA in Communication and Public Relations from the University of Maryland, College Park.
