John Vartanian is Chief Technology Officer of iN DEMAND. Mr. Vartanian manages the technology, broadcast operations, Video-On-Demand (VOD) and Pay-Per-View (PPV) product management and new product launches for the industry’s top transactional content distributor. He oversees the organization’s advanced editing facility in New York, plus national broadcast and VOD distribution systems, which includes the SD and HD distribution of Movies–On-Demand (MOD), live PPV events, major league sports packages and subscription VOD content to MSOs in the U.S. and Canada. Mr. Vartanian’s tenure in cable television includes an earlier stint at iN DEMAND as Senior Vice President, Technology and Operations, as well as 11 years at HBO and five years with Warner Amex Cable. He is active in the industry’s Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), was on the organization’s Board of Directors from 1994-2000 and served as Chairman of the Board from 1995-1997. Mr. Vartanian holds an MBA from Columbia University and a B.S. Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
