Judi Allen

​Judi Allen is Senior Vice President, Client Solutions at Nielsen, responsible for the firm’s strategic relationships with MVPDs. This includes current and next generation measurement and analytical products across all media platforms—digital, mobile, linear TV and video on demand for dynamic, addressable, programmatic and traditional media sales and marketing effectiveness. 

 

Previously she was VP, Video Strategy and Business Development in the Video and Content Group at Time Warner Cable, responsible for digital media, authenticated online content, streaming video to consumer electronic devices, video-on-demand, interactive television and developing new video services for residential and commercial customers.  She led negotiations and product development for live streaming of ESPN channels to authenticated video subscribers, a television breakthrough at the time. She drove development of the company’s first iPad app streaming live TV channels inside subscribers’ homes.

 

Allen created and managed a strategy consulting and interim executive firm, Allen Strategies for several years, with a wide range of programmer, vendor and distributor clients.  As interim SVP of Marketing for a major Canadian broadcaster, she led all strategy and creative for a multi-million dollar consumer tune-in promotion, produced the network’s upfront event, managed brand research and repositioning, led an on-air agency search and restructured staff.

 

She formerly served as SVP Video for MediaOne, leading all aspects of video product management including content acquisition and negotiations, customer acquisition and retention, branding and product development.  Before MediaOne, Allen served as SVP Marketing and Programming for Century Communications and VP National Accounts, Affiliate Relations for USA Network.

 

Allen served for five years as Compensation Committee Chair on the Board of Directors of Rentrak Corporation. She is a former Executive Committee and Board member of CTAM and has served on several strategic committees and been a frequent speaker for WICT.  She is a graduate of the first class of the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute and holds degrees from Brown University and Harvard Business School.
